UQ Sport Academy Swimming

Interested in continuing your competitive swimming career while undertaking your tertiary studies at UQ? The UQ Swimming Club in collaboration with the coaching staff at the UQ Sport Aquatic Centre and UQ Sport Academy, can provide coaching, training and competition opportunities. The necessary facilities and support services are also available, including scholarship programs, strength and conditioning, nutrition, physio, sports psychology and study/careers advice. UQ is also an Elite Athlete Friendly University, which provides a great deal of support for its athletes, while continuing their education.

Australian UniGames

The Australian Unigames (AUG) is one of Australia's largest multi-sport event, renowned for providing a friendly but competitive environment for Australian university athletes. UQ Swimming Club is committed to raising the profile of swimming for your university at the AUG and is working in partnership with the University to secure UQ as the best swimming university at the AUG.

In 2016, the games were held in Perth, with the UQ Swimming Team finishing in 1st place.This year the AUG will be held on the Gold Coast and UQ will be aiming to go back to back. If you are interested in swimming for UQ at the AUG, contact UQ Sport Head Coach, David Heyden on

UQ Sport Inter-College Competition

The UQ Swimming Club proudly supports the annual UQ Sport Inter-College Competition Swimming Carnival. In 2017, Kings College was the winner in the Men's competition and St John's College the winner in the Women's competition.
